Private space traveler Dennis Tito was given an award named after him during the first Space Tourism Pioneer Awards. The event, organized by the Space Tourism Society, took place in Los Angeles, California.
This inaugural event began a tradition of honoring space tourism pioneers for outstanding achievement in a bold new industry.
