April 12-13, 2007 -- Yuri's Night

This year, the party enters another dimension.   At NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, California, over 4,000 people gathered in an aircraft hangar for the unique event.  Scientists and engineers mingle with artists and musicians. Anousheh Ansari, General Pete Worden, and Chris McKay spoke to the crowd.

At the same time a party took place in another dimension:  the 3D virtual world known as Second Life. Who knew that Avatars could boogie!

Yuri's Night is a global celebration of peace and space travel. In 2007 there were 126 parties in 35 countries on 6 continents and 2 worlds!
