New York City Chapter

On October 31, 2008: Outer Space is “in” again

New York City, NY – On Friday, October 31, Space Tourism Society's New York chapter brings excitement and awareness to space exploration again with a ball featuring a space-wear fashion show, a choreographed light-saber battle, travel offerings from Virgin Galactic, exhibits and space travel-themed door prizes.

The producers of Yuri's Night NYC  -- the yearly April 12 around-the-world celebration of human space flight -- will host their second event in a long line of space themed events aimed to inspire, inform and provide a venue for a new generation to network about space exploration.

The Space Monster Mashup Ball celebrates Halloween in grand style at Club PINK in downtown Manhattan. Highlights include a fashion show and design contest featuring Virtual Daughter Spacewear by Kristin Corman and other inventive designers.  The prize for "Best Outfit" is awarded by a committee during the event. Designers interested in entering can find requirements and submission information online at www.spacemonstermashup.com  or by emailing spacefashion@eventbye.com.
